What I’m Reading
I wasn’t much of a reader, outside of what was required at school, but that all changed during my senior year at the University of Michigan. The Tipping Point was recommended to me by a close friend and I decided to give it a shot. I cracked it open on a crisp fall day in Ann Arbor and finished it a couple days later. That book was the starting point of a lifelong habit of reading. From philosophy to business to self-help and plenty of fiction in between, reading became a huge part of my life.
A few things about how I read. First, I’m the type of person who can read multiple books at the same time, so I often have a couple of non-fiction books and a fiction book in progress simultaneously. I enjoy the diversity and cross-section of ideas you can get from doing so.
Second, I love reading via Kindle, either on my iPad or my Android Phone. This is mostly because of the convenience of reading multiple books at once, but also the ease of which I can highlight and take notes as a I read and access them digitally.
Finally, I love reading BOTH fiction and non-fiction and think both have tremendous value. Don’t be biased towards one or the other.
Below you’ll find my Top 12 Must Read Books. Each one has had a major influence on my life. Enjoy!
